What is FeathersFurAndFish ?
FeathersFurAndFish is a pet sitting service provider that is available to visit your pet(s) whenever you go out of town on a trip for business or vacation. During your time away, scheduled visits will be made to your home. Often these visits are pre-determined time slots that will best fit your pet’s regular schedule and can booked for any number of days or weeks.
Do I meet the sitter before service?
Yes, the owner of FeathersFurAndFish will arrange a convenient Meet&Greet consultation time (at no extra charge with no obligation) with you before the service is provided. This consultation will give the sitter time to learn about your pet(s), fill out paperwork, takes notes about your home and required tasks, and collect keys or codes from you.
NOTE 1: Be sure to allow for a reasonable amount of time in advance for scheduled consultations.
NOTE 2: Virtual Meet&Greets can also be arranged.
How many times a day should my pet sitter visit?
The frequency of visits is something you can negotiate during the Meet&Greet interview depending on your needs and wishes. Most clients choose once per day or twice per day for cats for feedings in morning and late afternoon.
How long does a visit last?
Typically, each visit will last about 20-30 minutes in order to complete all of the required duties and have some time to spend with your pet(s). Homes with multiple pets will often require longer visits than homes with only one pet.
Who comes to my house?
The business owner of FeathersFurAndFish is the only person who will be visiting your home and your pet(s). In case of a personal emergency, FeathersFurAndFish will advise you ahead of time of a qualified alternate person.
How much does the pet sitting cost?
Each type of service provided has a basic rate structure. Additional charges may apply for administering medication or if you live just outside of the Georgetown area. Please refer to the Pricing tab on this website for the basic fees.
Is it safe to have a ‘stranger’ in my home?
We completely understand that having a new pet sitter in your home for the first time can be disquieting. Building a trusting relationship between FeathersFurAndFish and your family is very important. Here is some additional information that will be provided to you:
Sitter contact information (sitter can be reached at any time by cell phone or email).
A signed copy of the legal terms of your contract.
References upon request.
Available any time, any day (i.e. week days, weekends and holidays)
Daily reports, pics and videos of your pet(s) sent to you so that you know your pet(s) are safe and well.
Home keys are tagged with a number and are safely stored.
Keys are promptly returned upon e-transfer payment.

What size bird(s) do you pet sit?
As you may know, larger birds such as conures, cockatoos, African greys, ring necks, etc. require a lot of care, stimulus and personal interaction. As a result, Feathers Fur and Fish only pet sits the smaller birds such as canaries, budgies, zebra finches, etc. For larger birds, please contact The Parrot Hotel in Acton or Frisky Bird Boarding in Brampton.
